For Georgia to continue to grow and thrive, we need a healthy population. Improving the health of all Georgians means placing an intentional focus on public health and prevention. Georgians for a Healthy Future supports a strong public health system and the adoption of evidence-based practices that improve health outcomes. Our work in this area ranges from advocating for policies that will reduce smoking to providing education about the availability of preventive services to advocating for more investment in our state’s public health infrastructure. Georgians for a Healthy Future also supports the establishment of an All Payer Claims Database in Georgia to help advocates, stakeholders, and policymakers better understand disease prevalence, health care utilization, and other information about the health of our state’s population.
