Kirk is the owner of an independent Client First Insurance Solutions in Americus, GA offering all lines of products and specialist in the ACA Marketplace products.

He has a long history of leadership with nonprofits as a cofounder of several programs including Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity, The Fuller Center for Housing, Americus-Sumter Transitional Housing Ministries and currently serves on The Americus-Sumter Land Bank Authority. Kirk graduated from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and is an ordained minister with The United Church of Christ.
